Face Cleansers & Scrubs
Facial skin care begins by using the best face cleansing creams, gels, scrubs, washes and toners for your skin type.
Facial cleansing products need to match your skin type. Skin cleansing needs to remove dead cells, dirt, debris, sebum and product so that the treating and correcting products you layer next are maximally absorbed.
Cleansers too harsh will damage skin barrier and create dryness and irritation. Cleansers too gentle will fail to clean skin well and slow the results from your skin care routine. It’s a balancing act! Plus, cleansers are not just cleansers:
- Some cleansers exfoliate while cleansing.
- Others will deliver treating ingredients for conditions such as rosacea, acne, and seborrheic dermatitis.
- At times, a toner used as a second cleansing step after washing is ‘just what the doctor ordered’ to shrink pores, treat or soothe skin.
As a dermatologist I know that there is no single cleanser or cleansing step that fits everyone. That's why I have a range of cleansers, toners and exfoliating scrubs. Clean skin is the important first step in your Dr. Bailey Complete Skin Care Routine – the goal of which is results-oriented and perfectly matched to your skin type and goals.
