Face Cleansers & Scrubs
Your facial skin care routine begins by using the best face cleanser or soap for your unique skin type.
Your facial cleansing products need to match your skin type. The goal is to remove dead cells, dirt, debris, unwanted germs, sebum and product residue so that the next products that you apply to treat and CORRECT your skin are maximally absorbed. Your facial cleanser is the first and important CLEANSE step in your Complete Skin Care Routine.
If your facial cleanser is too harsh it will damage your precious skin barrier, creating the problem of skin dryness and irritation. Cleansers that are too gentle for your unique skin will fail to clean skin well and slow the results from your skin care routine. It’s a balancing act! Plus, cleansers are not just cleansers:
- Some cleansers exfoliate while cleansing.
- Others will deliver treating ingredients to CORRECT conditions such as rosacea, acne, and seborrheic dermatitis.
- At times, a toner used as a second cleansing step after washing is ‘just what the doctor ordered’ to shrink or unclog pores, treat acne or soothe skin.
As a dermatologist I know that there is no single cleanser or cleansing step that fits everyone. That's why I have a range of cleansers, toners and exfoliating scrubs.
