My Pigment Fading Pads combine botanical pigment lightening ingredients with or without 2% hydroquinone to even out your skin color. We make your Pigment Fading Pads fresh when you place your order to avoid adding the nasty preservatives found in all other hydroquinone products!
Does your complexion suffer from uneven skin pigment?
My Pigment Fading Pads add a missing treatment piece to most skin care routines by turning down melanin production to fight hyperpigmentation. This allows your skin to again have an even skin color.
Here’s why my Pigment Fading Pads work so well to fight skin pigment problems:
My pads contain pharmaceutically pure botanical actives known to fight excess melanin, including arbutin, kojic acid, and bearberry. Adding 2% hydroquinone to the treatment (the highest concentration you can get without a prescription) gives excess pigment a one-two punch by blocking the action of tyrosinase, the key enzyme for the production of melanin. Turning down melanin production allows hyperpigmentation to fade.
Here is how we avoid using the notorious nasty preservatives present in all other hydroquinone products:
We mix your pads fresh the moment you place your order – no nasty preservatives required to keep them active while sitting on the shelf for months or years! Know that hydroquinone oxidizes (inactivates) quickly and products that are not made fresh require strong preservative chemicals. Oxidized hydroquinone is amber to brown - have you seen other hydroquinone products turn amber? That indicates the ingredient is no longer active.
What is the best way to get rid of hyperpigmentation on your skin?
Uneven skin pigment problems are stubborn. Fighting skin pigment problems requires a skin care routine that tackles excess pigment from every available angle.
- Hydroquinone reduces melanin pigment synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase in your melanocyte cells that make pigment. Vitamin C also does this.
- Retinol (and other retinoids such as tretinoin), and glycolic acid reduce pigment production using other methods. They also help your skin to clear excess pigment and even your skin color.
- Physical exfoliation helps to scrub away excess pigment held in dead skin cells.
Creating a skin care routine that uses more than one of these mechanisms will get even better results for stubborn skin pigment problems. That's why I created my Ultimate Sun Damage and Pigment Repair Kit. My Pigment Fading Pads are an important part of that Complete Skin Care Routine that fights uneven pigment skin problems. Add my Pigment Fading Pads to your skin care routine or consider letting me take the guess work out of fighting uneven skin pigment problems with my Ultimate Sun Damage and Pigment Repair Kit.
Please note that we only recommending adding hydroquinone to the pads for 3 months or to a maximum of 6 months; use of other skin lightening products such as those with vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acid and the botanical lighteners in the pads is appropriate for maintenance and long-term use.

Twice a day, cleanse your skin and towel dry. Use one Pigment Fading Pad and swab the area of skin where you want to fight uneven skin pigment problems. Allow the moisture to air dry then continue layering your other correcting skin care products, moisturizer and mineral zinc oxide sunscreen.
Please note that Pigment Fading Pads with hydroquinone are mixed fresh for you. We recommend that you use them promptly and take care to avoid exposing your pads to high temperatures, which might spoil the hydroquinone.
Dr. Bailey also recommends adding hydroquinone to the pads for 3 to 6 consecutive months of treatment; use of other skin lightening products such as those with vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acid and the botanical lighteners in the pads are what Dr. Bailey recommends for maintenance and long-term use.
