Facial Glycolic Acid Kit for All Complexion Types

$100.50

This facial glycolic acid kit with professional strength AHA creams works fast to rejuvenate and reverse many of the signs of skin aging including: dull skin, fine lines and wrinkles, crepey skin, sun spots, and crusty age spots. Glycolic acid products are the ultimate efficient multi-tasking skin care products perfect for both men and women.

Glycolic Acid Face and Body Wash is no longer available. We recommend combining the Triple Action Cleanser with the Glycolic Acid 15% Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. This combo enhances results by adding 0.5% salicylic acid to more effectively cleanse pores with gentle eco-friendly exfoliating beads. It's a beautiful combination!

Professional facial glycolic acid skin care products are among the best, non-prescription anti-wrinkle face creams that also fight sun spots.

Plus, glycolic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) originally derived from sugar cane, is also a great ingredient to clean up clogged pores and blackheads. Within weeks of using glycolic acid for the first time, you will notice positive changes in your complexion.

Professional glycolic acid anti-wrinkle face creams help to fight the signs of skin aging at the same time they work to keep your pores clear but this only applies to professional levels of this powerful AHA. Yep, weak concentrations or buffered glycolic acid do not reap the anti-aging benefits of professional glycolic acid products.

My Facial Glycolic Acid Kit gives you a glycolic acid cleanser and exfoliating facial sponge to prep your skin for the professional level glycolic acid cream. My products are uniquely made with ultra-pure pharmaceutical grade glycolic acid. They work to fight both the signs of skin aging and clogged pores and acne.  - Dr. Bailey

What My Customers Say

"It really works for age spots. I've used it for 2 weeks, not every day. I put it on one of my hands too and that one has less age spots now than the other." RAM

How do you know if a glycolic acid face cream is a professional product that is strong enough to fight skin aging?

how do glycolic acid products work

Age-fighting glycolic acid face creams must be formulated to have a final acid pH of 4 or less and a glycolic acid free acid content of 10% or higher.

  • Know that the amount of glycolic acid listed on any label is most likely NOT the free acid content.
  • For every increment of pH higher than 3.5, some of the acid is neutralized and thus not “free.”
  • As a consumer, you can’t tell what the free acid content is in a product. You have to trust the company and the chemist that makes the product. My Glycolic Acid Face Cream is set at a professional level, containing well over 10% free acid in pH formulations of 4 or lower. It is a powerful medical grade AHA product - as you would expect from a me!

The form of the glycolic acid in a face cream that fights skin aging is also important for getting results.

  • Glycolic acid is an AHA that comes from sugar cane. It is small and easily enters your skin. Pioneer dermatologist, Eugene Van Scott, M.D., did the pivotal work on glycolic acid, and he recommended a form of glycolic acid called ammonium glycolate.
  • That’s potentially the most effective form of glycolic acid for skin care, and it’s the glycolic acid used in my Glycolic Acid Cleanser and Face Cream. It is powerful, it stings and it smells like chemistry not flowers! This is what it takes to get results.

How to get fast results using glycolic acid face creams?

In my Glycolic Acid Kit for All Complexion Types, I’ve combined physical exfoliation with glycolic acid “chemical” exfoliation for maximal results.

    • Physical exfoliation is done daily when you use the Glycolic Acid Face Wash with the Facial Exfoliation Sponge. The sponge instantly removes loose and dull dead cells from the stratum corneum (outer dead cell layer of your skin).
    • Chemical exfoliation uses glycolic acid's AHA chemistry as a powerful keratolytic (meaning to break keratin protein) to loosen the bonds holding together your skin’s keratin-filled dead cells so that they exfoliate to brighten skin texture and tone.

In addition to exfoliation to improve skin appearance, glycolic acid has been proven to create even more long-term beneficial skin changes that improve skin appearance.

A scientific study published in 2001 in the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, showed that when people applied glycolic acid to their skin, 3 huge structural skin changes were seen under the microscope that translate into a more youthful complexion in the mirror. Glycolic acid skin treatment:

    1. Increases the thickness of the living top cell layer called the epidermis. The epidermis thins with age and increased a dramatic 17% with the use of glycolic acid. This means that glycolic acid can reverse skin thinning that happens with age.
    2. Increase skin's epidermal hyaluronic acid content (by an astounding 180%) and dermal hyaluronic acid dermal (second living layer of skin) content (by 9%). This means your skin is plumper and dewier when you use glycolic acid. The appearance of your wrinkles is lessened, too. It also means that your skin is less fragile, and it's healthier because cells and nutrients can move around in it better.
    3. Turns on skin genes that make collagen (3 times greater than before). This means you might actually really get rid of wrinkles because reversing wrinkles requires that your skin makes collagen in the dermis (the deeper part of your skin) which lies below the epidermis (the top living layer).

From an older study reported in 1996 in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, we already knew 3 additional benefits of glycolic acid treatment. Applying glycolic acid to skin:

    1. Helps to correct uneven skin pigmentation. This means it can get rid of your age spots and even help lighten hyperpigmentation from melasma and healed acne lesions.
    2. Reverses the signs of classic sun damage in the epidermis that we see under the microscope.  This means it makes the structure of your skin look more like a kid’s when we view it under a microscope. (In doctor speak, there is a reversal of basal cell atypia and return of the normal undulating rete pattern.)
    3. Exfoliates the dead skin cells. This means your skin looks brighter, dewy and moist, and feels softer.

Glycolic acid really is a multi-tasking powerhouse ingredient for skin care when you use professional level glycolic acid products!

Tips for Success with Powerful Glycolic Acid Facial Products

      • Always start with lower strength products and less frequent application, and work up in as your skin is able to tolerate the glycolic acid.
      • Glycolic acid, by definition, is an “acid” and can irritate sensitive or injured skin. When or if there is stinging or irritation, you can lower the concentration of the glycolic acid in the product. Due this by diluting it in half with a non-glycolic acid product, and gradually work towards full strength.
        • Mix equal portions of the glycolic acid product, and a similar non-glycolic acid product such as my Daily Moisturizing Face Cream in your palm before applying them to the skin.
        • In a week or so, add less of the non-glycolic acid product as you mix the two products in your palm. Slowly continue this process until you can tolerate the full-strength glycolic acid product.
      • If your skin becomes irritated, take a break from your glycolic acid treatment for a few days, or until the skin returns back to normal, before resuming therapy.
      • Avoid or use less glycolic acid in areas of your skin that are more sensitive. This means diluting the glycolic product as above or avoiding glycolic acid on the area all together. Examples of sensitive skin areas on the face include the central “T-zone” in people suffering from seborrhea.
      • Don't apply glycolic acid creams to your eyelids or after shaving your face.
      • Do not get glycolic acid on the lips, and of course, do not eat products intended for external use only.
      • Of course, do not get glycolic acid in your eyes. This means do not apply it so close to the eyes that it melts into the eyes as the product warms to skin temperature.
      • Sometimes glycolic acid products may sting if you use them after exfoliating including with the Facial Exfoliating Sponge. If this happens, then apply glycolic acid products on days or application times that you don’t physically exfoliate when washing. Instead, apply a non-glycolic acid product after physically exfoliating and use your glycolic acid product when you don’t exfoliate.
      • If your skin develops irritation, an injury, a sunburn, windburn, or a rash, you must not apply glycolic acid to those areas of your skin. Wait until your skin is entirely healed plus at least an additional, two weeks. Glycolic acid will further irritate irritated skin, compound the inflammation, prevent healing, and possibly result in scarring or dyspigmentation. This includes skin irritated from wind or sun, irritating skin medicines such as acne medicines or Tretenoin (Retin A) or procedures such as electrolysis, laser, chemical peels, waxing, shaving etc.
      • Irritated skin can develop permanent darkening in response to sunlight. Do not expose irritated skin to the sun until the skin has returned to normal.

Please note, glycolic acid and other AHAs are probably too harsh for most people with rosacea or extremely sensitive skin. Use of products with glycolic acid can irritate the skin. If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult a physician.
